Qconcepts Accelerates Sustainable Hydrofoil Manufacturing in Cross-Border Innovation Project

Qconcepts Design & Engineering is proud to be part of a groundbreaking Dutch-German collaboration focused on scaling up sustainable hydrofoil technology. Together with M.U.H. von der Linden GmbH, we are working to triple hydrofoil production capacity while increasing vessel weight capability from 175 kg to 600 kg—unlocking new possibilities in recreational, commercial, and specialized maritime transport.

Manufacturing NextMaterials

Building on the proven Flo1 platform, this project follows a low-risk, cost-efficient path to scale. Qconcepts contributes in-depth expertise in the design and production of lightweight composite marine components, while Von der Linden brings advanced material knowledge and sustainable production techniques to the table. This partnership strengthens the innovation ecosystem in both countries and highlights hydrofoils as a viable solution for clean, high-performance mobility on water.
The project is part of the Manufacturing NextMaterials (MNM) program, co-financed by the Interreg VI Deutschland-Nederland initiative and supported by the European Union and various regional governments.
By combining smart materials with flexible technologies, Qconcepts is helping to shape the future of scalable, sustainable maritime innovation.
